1. Your profile isn't verified
An unverified listing often shows limited information or gets buried. Verification confirms your business is real and located where you say it is. Until that's done, you're at a disadvantage. The fix is to complete verification with the correct documents (more on that in our verification checklist).
2. Your address or pin is wrong
A misplaced map pin sends customers to the wrong spot — and a small error in your street address can make you effectively invisible for "near me" searches. Make sure your address is formatted correctly and the pin sits exactly on your front door.
3. You have duplicate listings
Sometimes a business ends up with two or three listings created at different times. Duplicates split your reviews and confuse the system about which one is real. These need to be identified and consolidated.
4. Wrong or missing category
Your primary category tells search engines what you actually are. A coffee shop listed under a generic "store" category will lose out on relevant searches. Pick the most accurate primary category and add relevant secondary ones.
5. Incomplete information
Missing hours, no photos, no menu, no description — incomplete profiles look less trustworthy and give customers fewer reasons to choose you. Filling everything out completely is one of the highest-impact things you can do.
